HOW IT WORKS

Optical coupling, stress management and gap filling in one permanent layer.

01OCA replaces an air gap with a transparent adhesive interface. This can reduce internal reflections and create a mechanically integrated stack, but optical quality depends on the complete cover, ink step, sensor, polarizer and display assembly.

02The adhesive must wet the surface and fill topography without transferring excessive stress into the panel. Modulus, thickness and viscoelastic response influence ink-step filling, bubble rebound, edge lift and MURA sensitivity.

03Rigid, automotive, curved, foldable and specialty optical interfaces need different grades. Website family descriptions are not permission to substitute one construction for another without a controlled TDS and line qualification.

Why does OCA thickness appear in the ECLEAR model?+

OCA behavior is highly thickness-sensitive. The nominal adhesive thickness is therefore treated as a controlled model variable after the source TDS and release-liner construction are confirmed.

Can a low-modulus OCA eliminate MURA in every display?+

No. It may reduce stress transfer in a qualified design, but MURA also depends on the panel, cover, bezel, lamination, autoclave and reliability history.

Can ECLEAR recommend a grade from an application description alone?+

A first shortlist is possible, but a production recommendation requires the substrate, layer construction, equipment, process sequence, test method and acceptance criteria. ECLEAR normally moves from requirement definition to laboratory matching, samples, line trial and a frozen approved specification.

Are the values shown on this page guaranteed specifications?+
