On September 14, 2018, ECLEAR held an exploratory technical exchange in California with a Tesla representative involved in manufacturing innovation. The discussion concerned advanced dual-cure hardcoating for thermoformable polymer materials.
Following an early-stage request from Tesla for technical information, ECLEAR outlined a preliminary technical approach and provided a supporting sample for initial consideration. To respect project confidentiality, specific applications, formulations, performance targets and evaluation details are not disclosed.
The meeting was originally planned at a Tesla studio. Because the studio team was supporting the Model 3 delivery ramp at the time, the discussion was moved to a nearby off-site venue.
The exchange reflected ECLEAR’s application-driven approach to coating development and its engagement with mobility-industry professionals on emerging material requirements.
