ECLEAR Team Visits EICMA 2025 in Milan to Explore Helmet and Visor Industry Trends

At EICMA 2025 in Milan, ECLEAR team members reviewed developments in helmets, visors and two-wheel mobility, with particular attention to optical performance, surface durability and materials used in production and assembly.
ECLEAR team members Jack Pan and Gary Guo visited EICMA 2025 at Fiera Milano Rho to follow developments in helmets, visors and two-wheel mobility and to exchange views with industry participants.
The exhibition highlighted wider and more complex visor geometries, integrated sun visors, modular helmet systems, lightweight construction and connected accessories. These developments place increasingly demanding requirements on optical clarity, abrasion resistance, anti-fog performance, weatherability and production consistency.
For ECLEAR, the visit connected two parts of its materials platform. Optical coatings support finished-visor performance through hardcoat, anti-fog, photochromic and other functional surface options. Functional films and release materials can support manufacturing steps including temporary surface protection, forming and handling, masking, die cutting, transport and clean release. Each material construction must be validated against the relevant substrate, geometry and process.
The observations will help guide application discussions with helmet and visor manufacturers and define targeted coating, film and process trials.
